About Eilir L. Rhys
I am a queer Welsh author from Llanfairpwll, Ynys Môn, with a background in web design and development and graphic design. I now live on the North Wales coast with my husband and our cat.
Like my protagonist David, I was diagnosed with obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD) many years ago. Although it has presented its own challenges, it has also influenced the way I think and approach storytelling. My tendency to analyse and overthink often finds its way into the intricate mysteries I enjoy creating, alongside the emotional journeys of my characters.
Outside of writing, I enjoy weightlifting, kick-boxing, hiking in Eryri, and visiting haunted and historic locations. The landscapes, history, and folklore of North Wales continue to inspire the atmosphere and settings of the Tŷ Newydd Mysteries series.
